This morning I tried it again and it was back to cutting in and out again. The lights are there to tell you what’s going on, too. This makes sense and actually tells you that Visio designed this well because they made the sound bar so that it would shut off the amp to cool down before frying the board (electronics) that’s in there, rendering it useless. BAM! It stayed on now after spraying the compressed air into the slots on the back. I then found a blog post about cleaning it out with a can of air. I was wondering if it was heat related because it felt warm and when I’d power it down for 30 seconds to a minute and then try it again, it seemed to stay on longer. I found a Visio blog but they didn’t seem to have any answers there – all the person moderating that blog would post is that they should contact Visio for support… so that got me nowhere. I tried a number of things to try to fix it: All the lights came on and the center one was kind of blinking a little – so you know it still worked but there was some sort of problem. I thought maybe location, the speaker skips no matter if its right next to laptop, or same room, or different room, internet works, drivers seem to up to date Windows 7 says, but the speaker skips while on bluetooth. The drivers says there up to date on both, so i thought maybe it was my HD audio from Realtek, but those are up to date, and the audio works fine once it isn't playing through bluetooth. I have Windows 7 Profesional SP1 preinstalled from HP, took off McaFee virus that came with it, I checked Device manager, and all drivers are up to date it says, and no errors in Device Manager, connection is all full on both wireless internet and speaker connection, but it still skips during audio playback. I thought it was the speaker, took it back to best buy, bought a new BOSE mini 3 or whatever, and it STILL skips during playback! Tried another CD same thing, doesn't matter. I thought maybe it was my internet, so i turned off wireless internet and just played a CD in my optical drive in my laptop, and the audio came through the built in speaker great, turned on bluetooth speaker, it skips again, without internet. Turning off the bluetooth speaker, the built in speaker on my laptop (Beats Audio) plays great, no skipping. My issue is, every bluetooth speaker I pair to my laptop it plays music but every few seconds or so it "skips" during playback. I needed bluetooth, so i got that installed. I have a brand new HP 17t laptop, that was customized back in Septmber 2014.
